More than a decade in fine wine

Exploring Fine Wines Worldwide. From Australia and South Africa, our two core origins, we bring boutique estates from around the world to China.

About Us

Who we are

PRAN WINES was founded in 2012 with a simple idea: to explore fine wines worldwide. For more than a decade we have focused on importing fine wine, with a portfolio reaching across Australia, South Africa, France, Spain, Portugal, the United States and China.

Australia and South Africa are our two core origins. We hold exclusive import rights for dozens of five-star Australian wineries, spanning famous names in classic regions and small family estates, from everyday drinking to Langton’s-classified wines.

That depth of work has been recognised with the title of Importer of the Year from Wine Australia and other authorities, and with a reputation as a specialist in Australian estate wine.

South Africa is our other strategic focus. We exclusively represent Boekenhoutskloof, Perdeberg, Robertson Winery and Krone. With zero-tariff access to China and direct estate sourcing, our South African range has grown steadily.

As our upstream resources have strengthened, our business has diversified: we run direct sourcing programmes for importers, premium grocers, airlines and instant-retail leaders, and serve more than 500 on-trade customers across China.

James Halliday

Foreword by James Halliday

Outstanding small wineries are an important part of the Australian wine landscape, yet they lack the means to develop markets overseas. The key to success is finding a partner such as PRAN WINES, with a deep understanding of Australian wine and a shared vision. I sincerely wish PRAN WINES every success in the years ahead. James Halliday, foreword to Beautiful Australia, supplement to Olive Wine Review, 2014 (translated)

Kay BrothersAustralia

Kay Brothers

凯氏兄弟酒庄
McLaren Vale, South Australia
★★★★★Double Red Five Star Winery2027

Founded in 1890, Kay Brothers is McLaren Vale's oldest family winery and one of Australia's ten great historic wineries. Three generations on, it still farms and makes wine the traditional way across the 22-hectare Amery Vineyards, where Shiraz, Cabernet and Grenache excel. In an era of efficiency and volume it holds to laborious basket pressing and ageing in fine small and medium oak, producing wines of supple texture, fine tannin, generous fruit and layered complexity — a symbol of Australia's fine wine.

  • Best of Show — McLaren Vale Wine Show 2017
  • Flagship wine listed at Outstanding in the Langton's Classification
  • Traditional basket pressing; wines of rare elegance and finesse

贝思酒庄
Great Western, Victoria
★★★★★Double Red Five Star Winery2027

Founded by the Best family in 1866, Best's is one of Australia's ten great historic wineries and among the country's oldest family estates. It holds vines of extraordinary age — among the rarest in Australia and the world — and is known as Australia's best-kept secret. For more than 150 years it has made wine with a minimalist hand so vineyard, vintage and region speak for themselves. Jeremy Oliver calls it a symbol of Australian wine, and two flagship wines sit in the Langton's Classification.

★★★★★Double Red Five Star Winery2027

Cullen was founded in Margaret River in 1966 by Kevin John and Diana Madeline Cullen, who planted their first 17 hectares as an experimental vineyard in 1971. Certified organic in 1993 and fully biodynamic from 2003, it was Australia's first recognised carbon-neutral vineyard. Cabernet is the cornerstone, and Diana Madeline Cabernet Merlot entered the Langton's Classification at Exceptional in 2005.

★★★★★Double Red Five Star Winery2027

Pierro is a pioneering Western Australian estate that has spent forty years making wines of pure lineage, character and finesse. Owner-winemaker Mike Peterkin has led the region's modern style: his powerful yet silky Chardonnay is a benchmark for rich Australian Chardonnay and sits in the Langton's Classification at Outstanding, while his Sauvignon-Semillon and Cabernet-Merlot blends became the reference for Margaret River blending.

Wirra Wirra

徕芮庄园
McLaren Vale, South Australia
★★★★★Double Red Five Star Winery2027

Wirra Wirra was founded in 1894 by the legendary cricketer Robert Strangways Wigley and is one of Australia's most historic and influential estates. The name means 'among the gum trees'; in 1969 Richard Greg Trott turned the original underground cellar into the landmark winery it is today. Reds come from the warmth of McLaren Vale, whites from cool Adelaide Hills. Estate vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic, and the estate has planted 5,200 native trees, cutting 68 tonnes of carbon a year with lighter bottles introduced in 2023.

  • McLaren Vale's leading estate, long favoured by critics and collectors
  • Vineyards 100% certified biodynamic and organic
  • Wines repeatedly listed in Australia's Top 100
YeringbergAustralia

Yeringberg

雅伦堡酒庄
Yarra Valley, Victoria
★★★★★Double Red Five Star Winery2027

Yeringberg is one of the Yarra Valley's finest estates and a pioneer of the region's wine industry, founded in 1863 by the Swiss nobleman Frédéric Guillaume de Pury — one of Australia's ten great historic wineries. His Bordeaux-style wines won gold in London, Paris, Bordeaux, Calcutta and San Francisco. Every grape is estate-grown, pruning and picking are done by hand, and the winemaking keeps intervention low with the finest French oak. Only cellar-worthy wine is made — about 1,500 cases a year.

  • Flagship Bordeaux blend won the Heritage Award for Quality at the Victorian Wine Show
  • Flagship wine in the Langton's Classification (Outstanding)
